Ahmad Nadalian

Ahmad Nadalian was born in the south, and his work has stayed there. On the islands of Hormuz and Qeshm he works with women who have no income of their own — teaching them to paint, giving them a practice, and making artists out of a community rather than bringing one in from outside.

His environmental art has been exhibited internationally, but its roots remain the southern coastline and the people who live along it.
