Derakht
A slender trunk opens into a dense round crown of gold and olive leaves, each leaf laid down as a separate mark. Around it the ground carries lines of hand-written script that never quite resolve into words, and a field of small dots gathers at the tree's foot like seed, or rain, or counting.
